The 1st International Conference on Nanomaterials: Fundamentals and Applications,

NFA 2012 will take place in Hotel PATRIA, Strbske Pleso, Slovakia, from October 3. to 6. 2012,
organised by Institute of Chemistry,
Department of Physical Chemistry,
Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice.

Authors should relate their papers to these topics:

01Nanomaterials for sustainable energy: Li-ion batteries, solar & fuel cells, catalysts, hydrogen technology.

02Nano-sized and nano-structured materials: fundamental aspects of nanostructures functionality, nanodevices, nano architectures, new methods including sol-gel processing, new materials, processing and shaping.

03Templated and self-assembled materials: nano medicine (drug delivery), DNA immobilisation, DNA chips & nucleic acid sensors, other application.

04New applications and new properties: chemical properties and application  (sensors, nanodevices, gas storage, nanosafety), physical (spin crossover, magnetism,     optics, conductivity).

05Bionanomaterials: biomolecular components, natural and synthetic receptors, organism- and whole cell-based biosensors, printed biosensors and printed electronics.

06Chips and nanoanalytical miniaturised systems:  separation technologies, detection technologies (single cell analysis), microfluidics (DNA, lab-on-a-chip).
